A Message to Our Community

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Ganges Indian Cuisine will close on Saturday 31st January 2026. Founded in 1993 by my dad, Enam Chowdhury, Ganges became our family’s life and home, and from the very beginning the people of Royal Wootton Bassett welcomed us with incredible warmth. Many of you became far more than customers — you became family — and your loyalty over the years has meant everything to us. I’m especially grateful for the kindness and support shown to us after my dad passed away in 2021, which carried us through the hardest time of our lives. After much thought, I’ve decided to step back to focus on my family as my daughter grows, and as Ganges has always been family-run, we don’t feel right passing it on. Until our final day, we’ll continue to welcome you with gratitude and love, and we kindly ask that any gift vouchers are used before then. Thank you for over 30 years of support, memories, and loyalty — Ganges was never just a restaurant, it was our family’s home.
